Candle Care

Get the Most From Your Georgia Pines Candle

Before Each Burn

  • Trim the wood wick to approximately 1/8"–3/16" before lighting.

  • Remove any charred wood from previous burns.

  • Place candle on a heat-resistant surface away from drafts, children, and pets.

First Burn Matters

  • Allow the wax to melt evenly across the entire surface before extinguishing.

  • This usually takes 3–4 hours and helps prevent tunneling.

During Use

  • Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.

  • Keep the wax pool free of wick trimmings, matches, and debris.

  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.

Wood Wick Tips

  • Wood wicks may take a little longer to light than traditional cotton wicks.

  • Hold the flame to the wick for several seconds until a steady flame is established.

  • If the flame becomes small, extinguish the candle, allow it to cool, trim the wick, and relight.

When to Stop Burning

  • Discontinue use when approximately 1/2" of wax remains at the bottom of the jar.
